Enyeama: Nigeria will reach World Cup semi-finals

Enyeama: Nigeria will reach World Cup semi-finalsThe Lille shot-stopper is optimistic about the African champions' chances at this summer's tournament in Brazil
Nigeria goalkeeper Vincent Enyeama is brimming with confidence ahead of this summer's World Cup and believes Stephen Keshi's men have what it takes to reach the semi-finals.

The reigning African champions have never made it past the round of 16 on the four previous occasions that they qualified for the final, but the Lille goalkeeper has little doubt they can cause a surprise this time around.

Liverpool Defender Martin Skrtel Sets EPL Record

It is no longer a breaking news that Manchester City won the English Premier League, EPL, on Sunday at the expense of Liverpool.

As a result, the Brendan Rodgers' team failed to erase a bad record of not able to lift a league trophy in England since their last triumph in May 1990.

However, one of Liverpool's most outstanding defenders of all time, Martin Skrtel, created his own record.

The Slovakian defender broke the own goal record by a player in a single Premier League season with his fourth of the campaign against Newcastle on Sunday.

Skrtel's 20th-minute strike into his own net for Liverpool in the 2-1 win against Newcastle came after own goals against Hull City, West Ham and Swansea City earlier in the season.

With Skrtel clocking up five own goals now, he is now not too far away from Richard Dunne (nine) and Jamie Carragher (seven) who have the most own goals scored by a Premier League player in history.

Skrtel has scored seven goals in the right end for Liverpool this season in 39 appearances, scoring in some of the Reds' most vital games on their way to second-place finish.

Hilariously, Skrtel has scored more goals against the top four this season than any other player, with four against his own club Liverpool, two against Arsenal, one against Manchester City and one against Chelsea.

Only few players would dream to set this type of record in a top flight league!
