Funke Akindele moves into new Lekki Home, denies having a lover

Funke Akindele has denied recent reports of a new affair. We guess that’s good news for the guys out there right? Nigerian tabloid, City People Magazine published a story this week reporting that the top Nollywood actress is in a romantic affair with a new lover who has moved her into a private estate in Lekki, Lagos. Akindele’s reps say the news is false. Akindele’s reps however disclose that the ‘Jenifa’ star has indeed moved into a new Lekki home but on her own account. ‘It will be vainglorious to make it a media issue, just as it is condescending to claim any imaginary lover paid for the apartment‘, the statement reads. The rep goes on to say ‘the star appreciates the concern of fans and a section of the media on this matter of the heart, pleads for understanding as she continues to concentrate her creative energy on her career and immediate family‘. Akindele was married for 14 months before separating with husband Kenny Almaroof Oloyede in July 2013
